A Successful Young Professionals Sleep Out

On Friday, March 23, Young Professionals from across Houston slept outside to raise awareness and funds for homeless youth and Covenant House Texas(CHT). This year’s event was the best one yet. There were a record number of “sleepers” who participated. The Sleepers hit surpassed their goal of $50,000 on Friday night. Currently, they have raised over $53,000.

The Sleepers were excited to be part of such an amazing event which started with dinner with CHT youth. They were able to spend time and get to know some of the youth impacted by CHT.  Later in the evening, participants went out on Street Outreach to hand out food to the homeless. After returning, the Sleepers and youth hung out and played UNO. Then it was lights out.

The Sleepers left with a new appreciation of what homeless youth go through.  “I couldn’t even get out of the parking lot without tearing up from all kinds of emotion this event left me with,” Associate Board member, Lindsay Wise said reflecting on the night.

Thank you to all of our sponsors, Sleepers, and donors who made this event a success!
