Covenant House Texas(CHT) presented the 3rd Annual Common Bonds Luncheon: Friendship & Philanthropy at The Briar Club on Thursday, May 10, 2018. The luncheon raised over $200,000 for Covenant House Texas.
Mrs. Kelley Lubanko served as this year’s Luncheon Chair, hosting approximately 300 guests including Steve Lubanko, Hallie Vanderhider, Bobbie Nau, Ellen Cokinos, Stephanie Cockrell, Carolyn Dorros, Connie McMaken, Cindy O’Donnell, and Kelli Weinzierl. The luncheon featured moving testimonials from current CHT youth. Kurt Nondorf, Board Chair; Leslie Bourne, Executive Director; and Constable Alan Rosen, Harris County, Precinct 1 also presented.
The luncheon represented Covenant House Texas’ final fundraising event of the fiscal year. Since November 2017, Covenant House Texas has witnessed an exponential increase in the number of young people who arrive in hopes of safety, respite, comfort and care. All monies raised will support the comprehensive programs offered daily to youth ages 18 – 24.
