The Covenant House Sleep Out is an international movement of individuals who accept the challenge to sleep outside for one night so that homeless kids don’t have to. Participants raise funds and awareness for Covenant House, a network of shelters that provides safety and support to homeless young people in more than 30 cities across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
Sleep Out is an act of solidarity, it is not about pretending to be homeless. It’s a demonstration to homeless young people that you care – deciding that you can’t stay indoors while so many kids remain outside.
Sleep Out builds community. Whether you join a Sleep Out at Covenant House Texas, Sleep Out on your own, or start a Sleep Out with your friends and family, colleagues or neighbors, you inspire entire communities to step up and protect kids.
