Covenant House Texas Youth Participate in Critical Research Leading To Ground-Breaking Sex Trafficking Identification Tool

Covenant House Texas(CHT) youth participated in critical research that lead to the development of a ground-breaking sex trafficking identification tool. This tool is a significant shift in how we approach and identify youth who have been exploited through sexual and labor trafficking. Identifying young trafficking victims is a challenging process, due to many factors including extreme trauma and mistrust. This new screening tool will allow social services providers to quickly identify and provide life-changing services to our homeless young adults who have been victims of labor and sex trafficking.

CHT, serving 75% of the homeless youth population in Houston, is the only program that provides a continuum of care of services for homeless youth.
