Only a day after celebrating a warm and loving Valentine’s Day, Texas awakened to a record-breaking week of calamity. Millions lost power, heat and water, wondering for days when our utilities would be restored. The winter storm episode temporarily exposed us to the pain and uncertainty of life without basic necessities.
Though the Covenant House Texas campus lost power and water, our youth remained sheltered and safe. Dozens of donors responded immediately to our urgent call for water, providing well over 350 gallons of water in just four days!
The disastrous winter storm revealed the true blessing of a comfortable home, human kindness, compassion in action, and prayer. Thank you for your generous expressions of support.
