Krista Thompson
I am honored to step into the role of Interim CEO here at Covenant House Texas. Having been the CEO at Covenant House Vancouver for 17 years, I know the work of Covenant House Texas and I am deeply committed to our mission of providing a safe haven, respect, and unconditional love to youth experiencing homelessness.
Under the leadership of Leslie Bourne, Covenant House Texas has been recognized as a remarkable organization whose staff serve youth with exceptional dedication, vision, and compassion. Covenant House Texas has achieved great milestones, surpassed numerous challenges, and made a lasting impact in the Greater Houston community. And now, with an amazing new facility nearing completion, the future is very bright for Covenant House Texas and the precious young people we serve.
The Board of Directors will shortly embark on the search for the new Chief Executive. During this period, working alongside a very capable senior leadership team, my role will be to oversee operations and ensure that Covenant House Texas has the resources and support needed during this period of leadership transition.
